RCMP officers in southeastern Saskatchewan are on the lookout for a man they believe is armed and who’s driving a stolen car.
In a media release Tuesday, the Mounties said they got a call at around 3:30 a.m., about an assault at a house north of Langenburg. Police believe the car was stolen from the Langenburg-Esterhazy area after the assault.
Police said the car is a dark blue 2011 Chrysler 300 with Manitoba licence plate HLV 980. They say the car may be southeast of Carlyle, but they’re not sure of its exact location or destination.
“The vehicle is believed to be driven by one adult male who may be armed with firearms,” the release said. “If the vehicle is seen, do not approach. Report the sighting or information pertaining to possible locations of the stolen vehicle to police immediately.”
Officers from the Esterhazy, Carnduff and Carlyle RCMP detachments are patrolling the area as they continue their investigation.
