The 12 teams participating in this year’s Bedford Road Invitational Tournament have been decided.
The field for the high school basketball tournament was determined Wednesday night after three play-in games, which saw local teams going head to head for a chance to represent Saskatoon on the court at BRIT.
Holy Cross defeated Bethlehem 82-45 in the first game, Walter Murray beat Bishop James Mahoney 81-44, and St. Joseph was able to get past Aden Bowman with a 68-53 victory.
The tournament field is now set, and the participating teams will be:
- Bedford Road Collegiate (Saskatoon)
- Holy Cross High School (Saskatoon)
- Walter Murray Collegiate (Saskatoon)
- St. Joseph High School (Saskatoon)
- Collingwood School (West Vancouver, B.C.)
- Elgin Park (Surrey, B.C.)
- St. Francis Xavier High School (Edmonton)
- Raymond High School (Raymond, Alta.)
- Carlton Comprehensive Public High School (Prince Albert)
- Institut collégial Vincent Massey Collegiate (Winnipeg)
- Martin Collegiate (Regina)
- Michael A. Riffel Catholic High School (Regina)
The tournament is to run Jan. 12-14 at Bedford Road Collegiate.
