The Town of Rosthern is asking drivers in the community to not drive on the sidewalk.
On Tuesday, the town posted on its Facebook page saying some drivers have chosen to use sidewalks instead of alternate streets when crews are clearing the roads.
“Please have some decency and good judgement to drive down a different street to get to your desired destination!” the post reads. “Equipment operators are trying to clean the streets as fast and efficiently as they can.”
The town did not have specific numbers on how many vehicles have been reported doing this but did say a few examples have been brought to the town office recently.
So far, the post has generated a lot of activity with many commenters in disbelief that such action is taking place.
