The RCMP in Rosetown says two people are dead after a crash on Highway 7 east of Rosetown on Wednesday afternoon.
Police say the crash happened just after 2 p.m. when a pickup truck travelling west collided with an eastbound car.
The crash killed the truck’s driver and a passenger, both of whom were from Calgary. Two other passengers in the truck were taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The lone person in the car was also taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash caused a section of Highway 7 to be closed for seven hours.
An investigation into the crash is continuing. Police at this time don’t believe drugs or alcohol were a factor.
