Grab your lunch and immerse yourself in the spirit of Christmas — the Noon Festival of Carols has returned to TCU Place.
The event runs from noon to 1 p.m., this week until Thursday and from Dec. 12 to Dec. 15. It will feature Saskatoon children’s school choirs over the lunch hour.
This is the festival’s first time back after a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Tammy Sweeney, the CEO of TCU Place, says this year’s festival will feature around 20 performances, which is a little less than previous years.
She says the children have rehearsed their songs for the performance. Each group will perform around four songs; some include dance, different languages like French and German, and even sign language.
“The community comes out to support and hear the kids sing,” Sweeney said about the festival.
Saskatoon’s Charity Jess said she’s glad to be back after the hiatus. She watches the carolers every year and says it gives her a sense of Christmas.
Admission is free.
