'Considering the circumstances ... this is best-case scenario,' Cole Cusitar said.
A 30-year-old Saskatoon woman was killed Wednesday in a crash near the city.
At about 8:40 a.m., the Warman RCMP got a report of a collision between a van and an SUV at the intersection of Valley Road and Range Road 3061, west of Saskatoon.
The driver of the SUV — the only occupant of the vehicle — was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene. The man driving the van was taken to hospital with injuries the Mounties described as serious.
The RCMP said road conditions in the area were poor when the crash happened. The investigation is continuing with the help of an RCMP collision reconstructionist.
