Police ask public to avoid part of Avenue Q

Saskatoon police are asking the public to avoid the 100 block of Avenue Q, where a police incident is in progress.

While very few details were shared, police said the Gangs and Guns Unit was on site, along with the Tactical Support Unit and crisis negotiators. Traffic restrictions are also in place, police noted.

“An update will be provided upon resolution of the incident,” police said in a written statement.
