Saskatoon police are investigating after an incident involving a gun and bear spray at a Saskatoon high school on Monday.
In a media release, police said officers were called to the school in the 2200 block of Rusholme Road at about 2:30 p.m. The release didn’t identify the school, but Mount Royal Collegiate is in that block of Rusholme.
Police were told bear spray had been deployed and one suspect had showed a gun before they fled. A male victim was feeling the effects of the spray.
The release said drivers and residents of the area would see an increased police presence as the search for suspects continued, but there wasn’t believed to be a risk to public safety.
