8:30– Last week, the public hearings for the Emergency Act were officially underway. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced they were invoking the Emergency Act on February 14th of this year, due to the freedom convoy. This was the first time it has ever been used since it was created in 1988. These public hearings will include witnesses such as Justin Trudeau, Public Safety Minister Marco Mendicino, and Ottawa convoy protesters and organizers. 10:00– Ernie Louttit is a retired Saskatoon Police sergeant and author of “Pine Bugs and 303’s,” a book about two soldiers who come together through conflict returning to their small northern Ontario town after World War II. His novel delves into the search for justice after the war. Louttit discusses his book which launches on October 21st 2022.

11:00– Secondstreet.org recently released a poll to study how much support Canada has for developing and exporting more natural gas, considering Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. According to the poll 72 per cent of Canadians support the exportation of oil and gas resources, and Canadians are three times more likely to side with the oil and gas industry over the federal government.
