Saskatonians helped ensure no kid goes cold this winter.
More than 2,000 winter coats were donated during Rock 102’s Coats for kids campaign on Saturday.
In addition, $11,244 was raised for Care and Share Saskatoon to provide thousands of children with warm winter gear.
“Every year we see how important it is for kids to have warm coats, toques, mittens and boots for the winter. Saskatoon really came through,” said Rock 102 and 650 CKOM host Shack.
“There are families who need help purchasing these items for their children, and this is really going to make a big difference.”
The donated winter items will be distributed to Saskatoon elementary schools through Care and Share from Oct. 24 to Oct. 28.
