The arrival of cooler temperatures can only mean flu season is just around the corner.
As of Tuesday, people can roll up their sleeves and receive a flu shot at Saskatchewan public health clinics, local pharmacies, and the offices of some physicians and nurse practitioners.
This year the province is offering the Fluzone High-Dose influenza vaccine to people aged 65 and older. Previously, that vaccine was only offered to residents in long-term and personal care homes.
People can also book vaccinations for the whole family in one appointment through the Saskatchewan Health Authority’s online booking tool. Individual and group bookings also can be made by calling 1-833-727-5829.
COVID-19 immunizations can be done at the same time as well.
