Two people are dead after a single-vehicle rollover near Carrot River on Tuesday.
According to the RCMP, a vehicle carrying six people rolled on Highway 123 north of Carrot River shortly after noon on Tuesday, killing two people inside and seriously injuring the others.
A 41-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman, both from Cumberland House, were declared dead at the scene by paramedics, police said, and the four survivors were taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The families of the two people killed in the crash have been notified, the RCMP said.
The highway was closed Tuesday following the rollover, but has since reopened to traffic. The crash is still being investigated, the RCMP said, with help from a collision reconstruction expert.
