Saskatoon police are at the scene of an armed standoff, and asked the public to avoid the area.
According to police, officers responded to the 200 block of Avenue W South Wednesday afternoon. Police said a suspect with a firearm is barricaded inside a home in that block, and asked the public to avoid the immediate area until the situation has been resolved.
More information will be released when it becomes available, police said.
