Police are looking for a suspect after a 42-year-old woman was stabbed Tuesday evening in Saskatoon’s downtown.
According to police, officers were called to the 300 block of Second Avenue South shortly before 6 p.m. after getting a report of two women fighting. When police arrived, one of the women had been stabbed and the suspect had already fled.
The victim, who suffered a life-threatening injury, was taken to hospital by paramedics for treatment, police said.
The case is now being investigated by members of the Saskatoon Police Service’s Serious Assault Team, who are trying to track down the suspect. Anyone with information was urged to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
