A 41-year-old woman was taken to hospital after she was shot on Monday night in Saskatoon.
According to Saskatoon police, their Serious Assault Unit is investigating after the woman was shot just before 11 p.m., in the 300 block of Avenue T South.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found the injured victim, who was taken to hospital by paramedics. Despite her injury, police said the woman was expected to survive.
The suspect fled the scene before police got there, and no description was provided.
Anyone with information on the shooting was urged to contact the Saskatoon Police Service or Crime Stoppers.
