The first day of the 2022 Saskatoon Ex was a record-setting one.
According to Prairieland Park, 33,839 people went through the gates on opening day Tuesday to take in the beautiful weather, a $10 admission special, and a performance by Canadian rock group Billy Talent.
In 2019 — the last year the Ex was not cancelled or changed due to the COVID-19 pandemic — opening day saw 29,321 people pass through the gate.
During last year’s Ex, a grand total of 230,528 people attended the eight-day fair.
The 2022 exhibition runs until Sunday.
