Foodtruck Wars is back in Saskatoon this weekend, with tons of great food on offer from more than 25 vendors.
The eighth-annual Foodtruck Wars Street Festival kicks off Thursday at noon, and runs until Saturday in the city’s downtown. More than 25 food trucks and trailers are joining the festival this year, along with street vendors, food-related competitions, cultural dancing exhibitions, a karaoke competition, and more.
This year’s festival will be held on Fourth Avenue between 22nd Street and 23rd Street, and 23rd Street between Third and Fourth Ave. The festival is friendly to pets and the environment, organizers said in a release, and will be open from noon until 8 p.m. each day.
The 2022 festival is dedicated to first responders, organizers said, “who have helped keep us safe against the COVID-19 pandemic the past two years.” First responders will be honoured at a ceremony at the festival’s main stage Saturday at 1 p.m.
Heads up! 4th Avenue will be closed between 22nd & 24th streets starting Wed., Aug. 3 at 7AM for the #FoodTruckWarsYXE Festival (event runs for 5 days).
