People out and about during the long weekend may need to keep an eye on the sky in southern Saskatchewan.
Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for parts of south-central and southeastern parts of the province
The areas affected are Moose Jaw, Outlook, Estevan, Regina and the surrounding areas.
Environment Canada says the main threats from the storms will be hail to the size of quarters and wind gusts to 90 kilometres per hour.
It says these thunderstorms could also produce tornadoes.
The storms are expected to leave the province in the evening.
