Severe thunderstorm watches remained in effect Wednesday for areas of eastern Saskatchewan.
At around 11:30 a.m., Environment Canada said severe thunderstorms capable of producing strong winds, hail and heavy rain were in areas around Yorkton, Melville, Moosomin, Grenfell, Kipling and Wawota.
Environment Canada confirmed earlier Wednesday that a tornado touched down in the province on Tuesday evening and suggested more stormy weather was in the forecast for the province.
