Saskatchewan police officers nabbed 328 impaired drivers in May.
SGI released the results of the May Traffic Safety Spotlight on Wednesday. The data showed police across the province laid 208 Criminal Code charges and 120 administrative licence suspensions to drivers who were caught impaired on either alcohol or drugs.
During the month, Saskatchewan police also handed out: 6,112 tickets for speeding or driving aggressively; 406 tickets for not wearing a seatbelt, wearing it incorrectly or not having children properly restrained; and, 748 tickets for distracted driving, including 655 to drivers who were on a mobile device while they were behind the wheel.
