Environment Canada confirmed Monday that a tornado touched down east of Maymont on Friday.
Maymont is about 50 kilometres southeast of North Battleford.
It happened at 4:21 p.m. The tornado has been given a preliminary rating of EF-0, the weakest rating on the Enhanced Fujita scale.
Wind speeds in an EF-0 tornado range from 90 kilometres per hour to 130 km/h.
While there were reports and videos of the tornado, the weather office says no damage has been found.
Environment Canada reminds anyone who sees a tornado to report it to the weather service’s office.
