The tournament has raised over $30,000 for various charities and other causes throughout Saskatoon.
After dealing with rainfall warnings Saturday and Sunday, people in Saskatchewan’s southeast corner will now be dealing with intense wind.
A Colorado low is expected to bring blustery winds to the region on Monday. The winds will strengthen during the day, and reach gusts of 90 km/h by the evening.
As a result, a wind warning has been issued for people living in the Carlyle, Estevan and Moosomin areas.
Environment Canada Meteorologist Jason Knight says the strong gusts could create dangerous conditions.
“Loose items can be tossed around quite easily with winds like these,” he said. “(You) have to worry about knocking over tree branches, power lines, that sort of thing as well.
“It’s important to take care out there for the next day or so.”
According to the weather office, the wind has the potential to damage buildings, such as roof shingles and windows.
The winds will diminish Tuesday afternoon as the low moves off into northwestern Ontario.
People in Regina can expect stronger than usual wind as well, Knight says wind gusts up to 70 km/h are expected in the area.
