8:30– The Federal Government is now banning China’s Huawei Technologies from its involvement in Canadian 5G networks. 5G networks provide faster internet connections for your phone such as iMessage and social media apps. Although 5G provides us with that speedy service many of us desire- it is being banned due to the concern that 5G networks might allow China to spy on Canadians, although Huawei and the Chinese Government have adamantly denied these accusations. Minister of Sasktel Don Morgan shares his thoughts on Huawei and 5G networks.
