A 31-year-old man is dead after a motorcycle crash Wednesday evening in the area of the Traffic Bridge and Victoria Avenue.
The Saskatoon Police Service said officers responded just after 6 p.m., to a call about the crash. When they arrived, they determined the driver was badly hurt.
The man was taken to hospital, where he died. His family has been notified, but police aren’t releasing his name.
“Impairment is not believed to be a contributing factor; however, investigators with the Collision Analyst Unit have determined that the operator was travelling at a high rate of speed when the collision occurred,” police said in a media release.
The area was closed to traffic and pedestrians during the investigation, but reopened Thursday morning.
