The Saskatoon Police Service has arrested a suspect in connection with an unsolved murder from 2017.
On Tuesday, police said they had arrested a 22-year-old man in relation to the shooting death of Tyler Owen Morin.
At about 6 a.m. on Nov. 4, 2017, police got a 911 call about a man being shot at a house in the 200 block of Avenue V South. Morin, 30, had suffered a small-calibre gunshot wound to his abdomen.
He died in hospital a week later, becoming Saskatoon’s fifth murder victim of that year.
The suspect, who was already in custody on an unrelated matter, was arrested Tuesday in Prince Albert and charged with first-degree murder. He’s to make his first court appearance Wednesday.
