SaskPower has sent more crews and hardware to southeast Saskatchewan in an effort to get power back on in the wake of the weekend storm that hit the area.
As of Monday evening, the Crown corporation said more than 600 power poles and 2,200 crossarms had been sent to the area.
As well, crews from Prince Albert, Kindersley, Saskatoon and Tisdale had been assigned to the area starting Tuesday, bringing the number of technicians in the region to 216.
Redvers, North Portal, Wapella and the rural area south of Stoughton had power restored Monday evening. The company hopes to have its remaining customers back online by 6 p.m. Tuesday.
SaskPower said it was still getting reports of downed lines, so it reminded anyone who comes across a downed line to stay back at least 10 metres and call the SaskPower Outage Centre.
