The search continued Monday for Frank Young, six days after the five-year-old boy was last seen on the Red Earth Cree Nation.
Community members, volunteers, search-and-rescue teams and RCMP officers have been searching for Young since his disappearance last Tuesday. In a Facebook post on the weekend, the Red Earth Cree Nation said it was “opening up support” for the search.
It said it’s accepting applications from volunteers who wanted to help search for Young and e-transfers and donations from those who wanted to contribute.
RECN Emergency Search & Rescue Team are tirelessly continuing their exhaustive search for Frank Young. We thank all…

The boy was last seen near his home on the Red Earth Cree Nation last Tuesday at approximately 12:30 p.m.
The RCMP said Monday its investigation had determined he may have been at the local playground as early as 2:30 p.m., roughly an hour before investigators initially thought he had been seen there.
The Mounties added they don’t have any information that Young was abducted, so the criteria for an Amber Alert have not been met.
Young is described as four feet tall and approximately 66 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing Paw Patrol rubber boots, blue and green dinosaur pyjamas and a navy blue windbreaker-style jacket.
Anyone who saw the boy or has any information about his whereabouts is asked to call the Carrot River RCMP at 306-768-1200.
