A 60-year-old Saskatoon man pleaded guilty Wednesday to 11 charges of sexual assault.
Cecil Wolfe entered the plea in Saskatoon Provincial Court. The Saskatoon Police Service had filed four of the charges, while the RCMP had filed seven charges.
Victims reported Wolfe was working under the “pretext of being a traditional healer or medicine man when they encountered him,” a previous police release said.
Investigators have reported they believe there are a number of victims from the past two decades in the communities of Loon Lake, Blaine Lake, Muskeg Lake Cree Nation, Saskatoon and surrounding areas.
Wolfe’s sentencing hearing is scheduled to take place on Oct. 26 at 9:30 a.m.
