SaskPower is once again revising its timeline for when all customers in the province’s southwest will have their electricity back.
In a news release issued Saturday night, the crown said 138 customers in two areas remain without power after a storm earlier in the week. The plan now is to have all the lights back on by Sunday night.
SaskPower said by 5 p.m. those in the Eagle Valley Campground area should have their power restored and those in a trailer park south of Maple Creek can expect to have their electricity back on by 10 p.m.
The crown had earlier estimated all power would be restored to that corner of the province by Saturday night at 10 p.m.
The latest information indicates the main power line into Cypress Hills, the town Hatton and rural areas north and west of the town has been restored.
SaskPower said its crews have made significant progress despite extremely difficult terrain and wet conditions. More than 600 power poles and 750 replacement crossarms have been sent out to the Maple Creek area since the storm first hit.
