Police used a Taser Saturday morning at a Saskatoon business on Confederation Drive.
A man was seen carrying a large knife just after 11 a.m. at the business. Police arrived and found the man in an aisle. Police say he was in a “vulnerable state.”
The man put the knife to his neck to hurt himself. Officers used their conducted energy weapon to take the man, who is 49, into custody.
The man was taken to hospital to be assessed as a precaution.
Saskatoon police said that, according to their policies, the incident is going to be reviewed.
