8:30 – National Post Columnist John Ivison says the West is united in its desire to help Ukraine amid the ongoing Russian invasion, but the choice to intervene directly is a difficult one. Ivison says the economic pain inflicted on Russia by western sanctions may worsen Vladimir Putin’s brutality, leading to stronger calls for intervention, and he joins Gormley to discuss the balancing act leaders are facing and how the United Nations could still play a major role in bringing the violence to an end.

12:00 – Many Saskatchewan businesses are stepping up in a huge way to help relief efforts in Ukraine. One of them is Southey-based Quinn Nikolak, who’s donating 100% of the proceeds from his custom woodworking business ‘Custom Kitties Canada’ to the Canada-Ukraine Foundation to support humanitarian aid. Nikolak was inspired to help after seeing a picture of children in a Ukraine NICU being taken to a hospital basement to protect them from shelling. He said the image reminded him of his own son, and he decided to donate his proceeds and challenge other businesses to do the same. Nikulak joins Gormley to tell us more.
