Matsiuk is co-chair of the UCC Saskatchewan Ukraine Crisis Response Committee and she joins Gormley to discuss the work they are doing to help Ukrainian relatives of people living here.

12:15 – Cianna Lieffers is back from Beijing where she put her refereeing skills to the test during the 2022 Olympic women’s ice hockey tournament. Lieffers, who teaches in Asquith and has been a ref since age 12, went viral online during the Games after she was unintendedly slashed on the face by a player during the Canada-US match and returned to the ice after almost immediately shrugging off the injury. Lieffers joins Gormley to tell us about her Olympic adventure.
