Saskatchewan is getting ready to “ring those phones” during the 46th edition of Telemiracle.
Telemiracle Week is to begin in the province on Sunday and run until March 5, when the annual telethon is to be held.
The 20-hour broadcast is to be carried live on the CTV network in Saskatchewan, and is to start at 9 p.m. on March 5 and run until 5 p.m. on March 6. The main broadcast can also be seen on Telemiracle’s website.
“Telemiracle is ‘Rooted in Saskatchewan’ and has touched people across this province,” Telemiracle 46 chair Steve Kirwan said in a media release.
“Saskatchewan people continue to recognize the needs of their neighbours by supporting Telemiracle. We are grateful for the honour of having Telemiracle Week declared in Saskatchewan, which helps raise awareness in advance of this important telethon.”
Proceeds from Telemiracle go to the Kinsmen Foundation, which provides specialized mobility and medical equipment to people and organizations around the province, as well as travel assistance for residents who need medical treatment outside of their communities.
