The Saskatchewan government is looking to the liquor board’s shelves to find a way to express its displeasure with Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
On Friday, a government spokesperson said that is currently only one product from Russia in stock at the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority’s distribution centre.
“Government continues to look at ways to express its disapproval of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, including potentially pulling this product from distribution in the province,” read a statement from the provincial government.
There were calls for Ontario to do the same in its liquor stores, and on Friday afternoon Manitoba had already made that move.
