Out with the old, in with the new.
Sask Entertainment Group (SEG), which owns the Saskatchewan Rush and Saskatoon Blades, will unveil a new video scoreboard at SaskTel Centre on Saturday.
“We knew it was time for an upgrade,” said owner Colin Priestner.
“This new scoreboard is going to revolutionize the way lacrosse and hockey fans take in a game. We have some of the best fans in the NLL and WHL, and they deserve a world-class experience at SaskTel Centre.”
The 6.6-million-pixel Jumbotron is almost 18 feet tall and replaces the old scoreboard, which hung from the rafters since 2009.
Fans will experience the new toy first hand when the Rush takes on the Colorado Mammoth at 7:30 p.m. at SaskTel Centre.
