People in Kindersley woke up to red and blue flashing lights on Friday.
The RCMP issued a media release saying officers had responded to a potential armed situation at an apartment building on the 100 block of Main Street.
Just after 10:15 a.m., the RCMP issued another release saying the barricaded suspect had been arrested.
Nick Nielsen with West Central Online said the situation began after midnight and was restricting access into the downtown until its resolution.
