Those terrible ruts on city streets in Saskatoon are getting shaved down.
In a release, the city said graders have been working on neighbourhoods yesterday and through the night. Today, there are 34 more neighbourhoods on the schedule. They include:
- Adelaide/Churchill
- Arbor Creek
- Brighton
- College Park
- Confederation Park
- Erindale
- Forest Grove
- Holiday Park
- Holliston
- King George
- Lawson Heights
- Mayfair
- Meadowgreen
- Montgomery Place
- Nutana Park
- Pacific Heights
- Parkridge
- Pleasant Hill
- Rosewood
- Silverspring
- Silverwood Heights
- Varsity View
- Wildwood
- Willowgrove
All residential streets in the neighbourhoods listed will be graded.
Graders will go around parked cars unless the street is too narrow. Then, it will be marked for grading another day, the city says. Snow that is scraped off will be left in the parking lane.
People are encouraged to move their vehicles off the street, however, and watch for “no parking” signs on streets scheduled to be graded.
Cleared streets will be inspected within 24 hours and repairs scheduled for within a few days on streets where a snow ridge extends across a driveway and is more than 15 centimetres deep.
The city thanked residents for their patience and cooperation.
