11:30 – The Freedom Convoy 2022 continues to roll towards Ottawa in opposition to vaccine mandates, particularly those affecting cross-border truckers. Chris Baber helped organize the southern Saskatchewan arm of the convoy, and has driven the lead truck in the procession. Barber joins Gormley to tell us why this convoy is so important, and whether there are any concerns about those with more extreme views joining the protest.

12:00 – VIDO CEO Dr. Volker Gerdts joins Gormley for an update on their work to develop a new COVID vaccine, including an upcoming human trial in Uganda and their newly-approved booster study. Meanwhile, their manufacturing facility is expected to be up and running this summer in Saskatoon, and VIDO is working to expand to a “Level Four” containment lab to allow them to safely handle the most severe and contagious illnesses.
