More adult players are now investing in the protective equipment.
The Saskatoon Blades have been hit by COVID-19 so severely they don’t have enough players to put a team on the ice.
On Monday, the Western Hockey League said nine players on the team were currently on the league’s COVID-19 protocol list.
As a result, Tuesday’s game in Medicine Hat and Wednesday’s game in Lethbridge have been postponed and will be rescheduled at a later date.
The WHL also announced the rescheduling of three regular season games.
Wednesday, Feb. 2: Saskatoon at Regina (originally scheduled for Jan. 8)
Saturday, Feb. 12: Regina at Saskatoon (originally scheduled for Jan. 7)
Wednesday, March 2: Victoria at at Prince George (originally scheduled for Jan. 8)
