Extreme cold warnings lifted across Saskatchewan

Saskatchewan is back out of the deep freeze.

The extreme cold warnings Environment Canada had issued Tuesday for areas across the province were lifted in the early afternoon as temperatures climbed.

The mercury was expected to continue to rise throughout the day Tuesday. The overnight low in Regina is to be -10 C and the low in Saskatoon is forecast to be -3 C.

The high in Regina on Wednesday is slated to be -2 C with a wind out of the northwest at 40 kilometres per hour gusting to 60. There’s also a 60 per cent chance of flurries.

The forecast high in Saskatoon for Wednesday is -1 C with a 30 per cent chance of flurries. The wind is to blow at 40 km/h with gusts up to 60 km/h.
