City buses deal with delays, cancellations

Saskatoon Transit continues to deal with delays and cancellations for more than one reason.

The cold weather is one of the major problems, leaving buses unfit to drive.

A lack of spare parts or delays in the shipment of parts because of the pandemic is another reason for all the shortages.

“Saskatoon Transit does all they can to make service and it’s difficult to know in advance which routes will be affected or cancelled,” the city said in a press release.

“As soon as decisions are made, service alerts are issued to ensure riders have the information they need.”

Riders are being reminded to check the app for the latest updates on pick-up times.

“On-demand customers may also experience longer wait times than normal.”

Saskatoon Transit also warned customers to dress for weather conditions when using their services.
