Warman High School and Martensville High School are sending students home for a week due to a high number of COVID-19 positive tests.
A letter sent to parents and students Tuesday evening said all learning will take place from students’ homes beginning Thursday to reduce the risk of students missing their final assessments for the semester.
In-person learning is expected to resume on Jan. 26.
The letter from the Prairie Spirit School Division said the decision was made to keep illness and isolation disruptions for both students and teachers minimal during the final assessment period.
All extracurricular activities in both schools are cancelled until Feb. 1.
All school staff will continue working at both high schools, and they will stay open.
