The Swift Current Broncos are in lockdown.
In a media release Thursday, the WHL announced what it called “the pausing of team activities” for the Broncos after four players were put on the league’s COVID-19 protocol list. The players were exhibiting symptoms or had tested positive for COVID.
The league said the exposure to the virus is believed to have happened outside the team environment.
The Broncos have stopped practices and training, and also have postponed their next two games. Those were set for Thursday against the visiting Winnipeg Ice and Friday versus the visiting Regina Pats.
The names of the players involved were not released by the league or the Broncos.
