8:30 – According to the Canadian Taxpayers Federation, the Trudeau government and its ministers are badly out of touch with Canada’s financial realities. Director Franco Terrazzano says Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland’s mandate letter doesn’t mention debt or the deficit, and with Canada borrowing a half-billion dollars daily, he’s wondering if anyone in Ottawa is even thinking about Canada’s $1-trillion deficit. Writing in the Financial Post, Terrazzano says ” Canadian governments have created the perfect storm for rising prices,” and he joins Gormley to explain why the government’s apparent lack of concern should be concerning for all Canadians.
