Following investigations of a suspicious death in the Carrot River area, one man has been charged with second-degree murder.
Daven Head, 20, of Red Earth Cree Nation is charged with one count of second-degree murder in connection to the death of 29-year-old Sean McKay.
Under the same investigation, Head was charged with one count of aggravated assault and one count of failure to comply with an undertaking.
Officers responded to a report of an altercation at a home at Red Earth Cree Nation 2:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Head appeared in Nipawin Provincial Court at 11 a.m. Thursday.
