A radio station is helping to ensure the shelves at the Saskatoon Food Bank and Learning Centre are stocked for the holidays.
Rock 102’s 2021 Stuff the Bus campaign collected 17,454 pounds of food plus cash donations of more than $30,000 on Saturday.
“Every year we see how important it is for families to put food on their tables — especially during the holidays,” said Shack, Rock 102’s Morning Show host. “We are thrilled to have filled a Saskatoon Transit bus to the brim. This is really going to make a difference to so many families.
“Saskatoon came through in a big way.”
Over the past 16 years, the campaign has collected more than 507,000 pounds of food and raised more than $447,000.
