A man from the Kawacatoose First Nation has been accused of murder.
In a news release Monday, the RCMP said officers were called to a home on the reserve about 140 kilometres northeast of Regina for reports of a hurt man Friday morning.
When officers arrived, they found the victim, Thomas Dustyhorn, seriously hurt. He was taken to hospital in Saskatoon and died that night.
A second man was at the scene: Eric Charles Favel. Police said he was also hurt, and was arrested.
He was taken to hospital in Regina, but he was discharged.
Favel has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with Dustyhorn’s death.
Favel made his first court appearance Monday morning.
