The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is changing COVID-19 visitor restrictions at long term care homes and affiliates in the Saskatoon area.
Starting at 8 a.m. on Monday the facilities will move to the recovery phase of restrictions.
It allows an unlimited number of essential family, support people and visitors designated for residents.
Proof of COVID vaccination and COVID screening will still be required for visitors entering care homes.
The SHA credits falling transmission rates and fewer outbreaks in long-term care homes for the change.
Care homes may still limit visiting hours or require large groups to book common areas for their visits ahead of time.
