It’s the most wonderful time of the year and Saskatoon will be full of holiday spirit this weekend.
The 23rd edition of the BHP Enchanted Forest is now open daily 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. through Jan. 9 at the Saskatoon Forestry Farm Park.
A record 92,000 visitors went through the gate last season with 40 per cent considered tourists.
Funds from last year enabled the Saskatoon Zoo Foundation to build an award-winning prairie dog exhibit, start construction on the prairie butterfly house opening this spring, renovate the Affinity Learning Centre and keep moving forward to build the bears a new home.
The Saskatoon City Hospital Foundation used its share of the proceeds to help purchase much-needed equipment for the operating room.
Festival of Trees
The Western Development Museum is ready to welcome people back for the festival of trees on Friday.
The decorated trees, wreaths, centrepieces and gingerbread houses will be on display until Nov. 27.
The Saskatoon City Hospital Foundation has been the beneficiary of the event for over 30 years.
Santa Claus Parade
After going virtual last year, the Santa Claus parade returns to downtown on Sunday with traditional festive floats.
The 2021 event will recognize our community’s health-care workers with the grand marshal float hosted by Ronald McDonald House Saskatchewan.
The parade will begin at 1 p.m.
