A cement truck left behind a mess on one of Saskatoon’s busiest streets over the weekend.
On Friday, a video of a white cement truck was posted to Facebook. The video showed the truck driving westbound along Eighth Street East in Saskatoon, just past Louise Avenue, with a sign for a Sobey’s grocery store on the left side of the road.
The cement truck is leaving a trail of concrete sludge behind it along the street.
Just another ordinary day in Saskatoon 🤣😅

The equipment at fault was not a City of Saskatoon truck, but the city confirmed in an emailed statement Monday that it cleaned up the detritus.
“City crews quickly attended with a loader, a truck and a sweeper to clear the street of debris,” the city reported.
The statement also advised any motorists who witness an incident like that on city streets to contact the city’s 24/7 customer care centre to ensure it is addressed “as quickly as possible.”
